Meet Dr. Joel


Dr. Joel Ingersoll is a NJ Licensed Psychologist and performance coach for students, parents, business leaders, and athletes.

He has a PhD in clinical psychology, an MA in applied social psychology, and a Master Coach Certification (CMC). He is the founder of the Center for Psychological Health & Fitness, multiple school readiness programs and host of the Mental Health University  podcast and creator of MasterClasses focused on successful college adjustment and performance, college student mental health, and how to bounce back from subpar semesters.

Dr. Joel has been featured in academic journals and popular media outlets for his expertise in college mental health, parenting, and integration of fitness and psychotherapy.  

Dr. Joel’s has assisted numerous college campus wellness initiatives, served as an advisor for multiple student organizations, and as a sports psychology consultant with collegiate athletic teams and coaching staffs. He has also served for over a decade on college campuses under the titles of Staff Psychologist, Coordinator of Alcohol & Other Drug Services, Affiliate and Adjunct Faculty, and Associate Director of Counseling.

who is this program for?

Struggling college students and concerned parents looking for expert accountability partnership with a  solution-focused approach to bounce-back from a bad semester, level up performance, maximize personal development, and create a dynamite transcript filled with critical, ungraded emotional intelligence skills. 

Is the group component a therapy group?

No. This is an educational and coaching hybrid program.  At no point is a student/parent expected to discuss any mental or physical health diagnosis and/or discuss personal "issues." While Dr. Joel is a psychologist, he is serving as a certified coach throughout the program. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions link for more details. 

Can we add the semester coaching later if we have purchased the Self-guided course?

Yes. If you have purchased the self-guided video course you can later add semester coaching or individual coaching sessions.  There are separate fees for each of those add on options. 

Can my college bound high school student benefit from CBB?

Absolutely!  The CBB content for college bound students and parents is excellent to increase awareness of student challenges and campus support resources, planning for successful low stress adjustment, and get ahead of critical skill development before arriving for the first time on campus.
